Anaheim 1 marks the beginning of Supercross each year. It is one of the most anticipated race in motorsports and every racer is roaring to go. Marvin Musquin was carrying some momentum into the new season with multiple wins during the winter. That momentum led him straight to the top step.

Cooper Webb started the year off with some speed, but didn’t end exactly where he would have liked. The rookie, Chase Sexton, made his supercross debut with a solid 8th place. He battled for a podium spot, but a late crash would set him back a ways.

Marvin lights the candles with his trademark heelclicker. After struggling throughout the day, consistency and patience landed him at the top step of the podium.

A favorite coming in, Christian Craig ended 5th. He was looking for a bit more and plans on reaching that top step soon. Aaron Plessinger, on the other hand, was a bit of a darkhorse. No one seemed to know where he would fall into line. He exceeded expectations and found himself in 2nd, heading to Houston.
