Ultra Hydro® Care Guide
The Ultra Hydro™ treatment is a performance coating designed to enhance vision in wet conditions. Effectiveness may diminish over time depending on environmental exposure and maintenance. Since the 2H hardness is durable but can be compromised by chemicals or abrasive debris, to preserve the Ultra Hydro™ coating and 2H surface integrity, follow these “Pro-Care” steps.
SALTWATER ALERT: Salt is highly abrasive. After use in marine environments, immediately flush the lens with generous amounts of fresh water. Never allow saltwater to dry on the lens, as salt crystals can permanently scratch the coating during cleaning.
RINSE: Always flush the lens with fresh water first to remove abrasive grit, salt, or mud.
CLEAN: Use only a mild soap solution or a 100%® approved lens cleaner. Avoid glass cleaners, solvents, or detergents, as these chemicals can strip the Ultra Hydro™ layer.
DRY:
Gently pat dry with a microfiber cleaning cloth. Do not scrub or use paper towels, as wood-pulp fibers will create micro-scratches in the 2H resin.
STORAGE:
Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
Ultra Hydro+® Care Guide
To maintain the Ultra Hydro+™ Nano-Shield, a “less is more” approach is required. The nanostructures are precision-engineered and must be handled with care.
THE GOLD STANDARD: AIR FIRST
Use compressed air or a silicone blower to remove loose dust. This prevents physical contact that could flatten the microscopic structures.
CONTACT CLEANING:
Dry Wiping: Use a clean, dry, high-quality microfiber cloth. Wipe gently in one direction. Avoid circular motions. Avoid bare-finger contact.
Wet Wiping: For fingerprints, gently use the supplied Ultra Hydro™ Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) Wipes. Do not let the liquid pool.
CRITICAL WARNINGS: NO HEAVY PRESSURE
Pressing too hard can permanently deform the nanostructures, creating a “shiny” spot and killing the gliding features.
AVOID DETERGENTS:
Never use glass cleaners (like Windex) or soaps. These contain waxes that fill the nano-gaps and make the lens look foggy.
SKIP PAPER:
Tissues and paper towels are abrasive at a microscopic level and will scratch the film.
PEEL TO RENEW:
Once the Nano-Shield shows heavy wear, peel it off. Follow standard 100%® cleaning procedures for the base lens once the shield is removed.

The Ultra Hydro+™ Nano-Shield is a sacrificial performance layer. Scuffs or “shiny” areas are signs of the structure working to protect your vision. Peel to restore original base lens clarity.
