Behind the Scenes of Elly De La Cruz's 'Style Worth Stealing' Campaign Shoot

This photoshoot was a long time in the making. After the original photo shoot in 2025 with Elly De La Cruz was postponed, the 100Percent Creative Team revisited the concept and thoughtfully reimagined it for 2026.
"Style Worth Stealing" became the theme of Elly's latest collection—a phrase that's equal parts fashion statement and baseball tribute, tailor-made for a player whose instincts on the basepaths are as sharp as his sense of style.
Keep reading to learn more about the unique concept behind the “Style Worth Stealing” campaign—with full details behind the photo shoot from Aubree Aldaco, 100Percent North America Marketing Manager.
Can you tell us more about the creative concept?
Aubree Aldaco: One of the visual elements we were most excited about was the use of 17 flat baseball bases, arranged in a soft, symmetrical layout. It created a sense of balance and structure while still allowing the overall composition to feel natural and fluid.

How did the creative team approach the overall styling for the shoot?
Aubree Aldaco: For styling, we leaned into a predominantly all-white look, complemented by subtle accents of dark purple, seen in details like his gloves and arm sleeves, to add depth without overpowering the palette.

What were some of the behind-the-scenes logistics that went into working with Elly?
Aubree Aldaco: Collaborating with professional athletes always brings a unique layer to the creative process. There are important considerations around partnerships, sponsorships, and wardrobe approvals that require close coordination behind the scenes.

Who else had their hand in setting up this shoot?
Aubree Aldaco: With the help of Max Schrantz from our baseball marketing team, we were able to maintain consistent communication with Elly’s team, ensuring everything aligned seamlessly throughout the process.
Can you tell us more about Elly’s signature sunglasses?
Aubree Aldaco: The limited-edition sunglasses designed for this shoot featured a black-and-white snakeskin pattern paired with a purple mirrored lens, a combination that felt both bold and refined. Knowing Elly’s natural inclination toward more expressive, colorful eyewear, the design felt especially fitting for the 2026 release.

How did the sunglasses themselves influence the creative direction of the shoot?
Aubree Aldaco: From a creative perspective, our art director Stu Alfano brought a thoughtful and cohesive vision to life. His ability to translate ideas into something tangible played a key role in shaping the final outcome.
What was the overall atmosphere like on set, and how did it all come together in the end?
Aubree Aldaco: The shoot itself felt collaborative and easygoing, and seeing everything come together in both the photos and video was incredibly rewarding. Projects like this are always a team effort, and we’re grateful for everyone who contributed along the way. It means a lot to have had the opportunity to bring this vision to life and to continue working with Elly De La Cruz in such a meaningful way.
