After the controversial exit that Peter Sagan had from the Tour de France last year, thousands of people were left questioning how Peter’s return this year would be. He remains headstrong and determined and whenever questioned about last year, he demands that it is left with the year of 2017. So with that, the quest for his record tying 6th green jersey begins…

The World Champion is one of the most beloved cyclists of all time for a reason, he is always approachable. Peter makes time for all of his fans all of the time. It is something he takes pride in and it pays off. From signing autographs, to taking pictures, or even sipping coffee at a coffee house with some strangers is only one of the traits that separates Sagan from the crowd.

The man standing in Sagan’s way is the young Colombian rider, Fernando Gaviria.The 23 year old phenom has begun his Tour campaign with 2 stage wins already and has proven too be a fierce competitor. Peter Sagan, is no stranger to a challenge, nor having the target on his back. Peter can overcome the challenges he will face as the Tour continues.

Peter’s ballot this year has begun with some consistency. Just four stages in, Peter has landed himself on the podium three times, winning once and finishing second twice. He carried the yellow jersey into the Team Time Trial gracefully and then traded in for the coveted green jersey that he chases. Tomorrow sees the first hilly stage that seems to fit Peter perfectly. Lets see how he reacts.
