The drylands of southern California hosts one round of the Pro Motocross series at the infamous track set in the hills of San Bernardino, better known as Glen Helen. Based in a sand wash, the track features steep hills and deep sand. Flooded with massive jumps, Glen Helen always puts on a show and is known to have a rookie ride a breakout race. Not so much this year.

Famous for its first corner, massive hills, high speeds, big jumps, and crazy crowds, Glen Helen makes sure you feel the speed. Without a doubt, it hits as one of the favorites on the circuit. This year, the fans were greeting by a light mist and cool temperatures, where as typically they can expect temperatures upwards of 100 degrees.

Christian Craig exited the weekend by ending his outdoor season after a crash, tearing his MCL. The factory Honda rider has shown some real speed and had gotten a holeshot each weekend wearing his favorite Accuri Moto goggles.

Justin Cooper has been turning some heads the first two rounds. He has been leading motos and ripping some of the fastest lap times each weekend. Glen Helen was no exception. The rookie ran up front during most of the first moto.

Chase Sexton(left) came out of Supercross as the rookie of the year and has his sights set high on outdoors. He hasn’t gotten the results he is looking for yet, but we have faith in the young gun.

Cody Cooper(right) is here with us in the states from New Zealand. They Kiwi champ snagged 10th overall and has definitely turned some heads.

Jeremy Martin has been quite the sleeper, though consistent. Look for him to add some pressure on the top guys in coming weeks.

The rider of the weekend was the newly crowned 250 West Supercross champ. Aaron Plessinger came to Glen Helen with the right mindset and executed a perfect weekend. 1-1 on the day and leaving tied for the red plate.
