Escaping the cold weather of Europe was the entire MXGP community, which headed deep into South America for the first round of the new year. MXGP of Patagonia lies just within the border of Argentina and features a wide track full of rollers and passing opportunities.

A brand new year brought some riders to new teams and with some fresh sponsors, all with the same task at hand. Glenn Coldenhoff and Kevin Strijbos fought all day on the fast track finishing 10th and 21st, respectively.

Jeremy Seewer made his debut on the big 4-5-0 this weekend. He put up a good 1st moto with a 7th place, but didn’t have an ideal 2nd moto. He looked great all day and can be a force in future rounds.

The Rockstar Husky boys came into this new season swinging. Thomas Covington returned to racing after his off-season injury and salvaged a 15th overall. He will look to improve off of that. Thomas Kjer Olsen, on the other hand, entered this season more fit and focused than ever before. He was the only one to challenge Pauls Jonass, but just barely fell short with a 2nd overall.

The most success came in the MX2 class for us, with Thomas Kjer Olsen in 2nd and our newest team member, Hunter Lawrence, in 3rd.

Gautier Paulin and Hunter Lawrence are ready for the season to really get rolling. 2018 is going to be a great year and we are proud to have these guys heading the charge.
